September Birthstone - Lapis

The September Birthstone is Lapis which radiates a beautiful sapphire blue with gold flecks.  On a personal note, lapis is one of the first stones I noticed when I was a young girl when my stepmother brought home a beautiful lapis necklace from a trip to Mexico.  I was so curious how the gold flecks were captured within and I'm still in awe of lapis.  The Lapis is paired with Sodalite Double Points, another rich blue stone.
